GoPlugable, a pioneering local company building a community-powered EV charger-sharing network, has launched the first all-island survey on electric vehicle (EV) charging habits, preferences, and expectations in association with the Electric Vehicle Association Northern Ireland (EVANI) and Irish EV Association (IEVA).

The “State of Electric Mobility in the Island of Ireland” survey aims to gather insights from EV owners, those considering EVs, and those not currently interested in EVs. This comprehensive approach makes it one of the first surveys to cover the entire spectrum of the population’s interest in EVs.

Maebh Reynolds, Co-Founder of GoPlugable, said, “This survey is a significant step towards understanding the state of electric mobility across the Island of Ireland from all perspectives. We believe everyone’s voice matters in shaping the future of EV charging, and we’re excited to hear what people have to say.”

The survey covers various topics, including charging habits, awareness of government grants for EVs, perceptions of public charging infrastructure, and much more. By participating in the survey, respondents also can have a chance at winning a range of prizes.

Mark McCall, Chair of the EV Association NI added, “We’re delighted to partner with GoPlugable on this initiative. Sharing existing residential chargers has the potential to help many of those without off-street parking at home to transition to an electric vehicle.”

The survey is live and will run until the 20th of August. To participate in the survey, visit www.goplugable.com/survey.
