As FM Environmental approaches its 50th anniversary, it presents a fitting occasion to honour the company’s distinguished heritage while embarking upon a new chapter.

To mark this milestone, the family-owned enterprise has introduced a refreshed identity as FME, a contemporary name that respects its roots while representing a forward-looking vision and renewed commitment to innovation.

For nearly five decades, FME has proudly been family-run, building lasting relationships across municipal, industrial, and environmental sectors. Now rebranded as FME, the company carries forward a legacy of hard work, trusted expertise, and genuine care for clients and communities alike.

Since its founding in 1977 as Fitzpatrick Systems Ltd, through its merger with PWS Pumps to become FM Systems Ltd, and ultimately evolving into FM Environmental, the company has consistently delivered high-quality products and services to the pumping and wastewater treatment industry.

The transition to FME marks a natural evolution, streamlining the FM Environmental name into a modern, succinct identity. This rebrand preserves the company’s legacy and reflects ongoing innovation and growth.

A Visual Identity with Purpose

With the new name comes a refreshed logo that captures the essence of FME:

  • Bold, Slanted Typography – The forward-leaning typeface symbolises momentum and progress, representing FME’s commitment to advancing water management technologies.

  • Wavy Lines – Evoking the flow of water, these lines highlight FME’s expertise in environmental and wastewater solutions, as well as its dedication to sustainable practices.

  • Floating ‘F’ Icon – This standalone symbol reflects fluidity and adaptability, highlighting FME’s role as a flexible, reliable partner in water and environmental management.

Together, these design elements present a confident, contemporary brand identity, one that signals FME’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

The new logo and brand identity were designed by Georgia Bannon, Marketing Executive at FME, who is also leading the launch of this exciting new chapter in the company’s journey.
