Craxel UK Ltd has formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant during a recent RAF engagement visit to Northern Ireland at the Ulster Aviation Society.

The signing took place alongside the unveiling of the Harrier aircraft during the Chief of the Air Staff’s visit to Northern Ireland and highlighted the continued growth of the Armed Forces Covenant across the region.
Craxel UK Ltd joins a growing number of Northern Ireland organisations recognising the value that Service personnel, Reservists, veterans and military families bring to workplaces and communities.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a voluntary pledge which demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to ensuring that those who serve, or have served, in the Armed Forces — and their families — are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged because of their service.

For employers, signing the Covenant can also bring real business benefits, including:
• Access to highly skilled and adaptable talent
• Support with recruitment and retention
• Stronger links with Defence and wider industry networks
• Enhanced social value and corporate reputation
• Opportunities to support leadership, resilience and skills development through engagement with Reservists and Cadets
Darren Niven, Defence Relationship Management Northern Ireland, said:
“We continue to see growing interest from employers across Northern Ireland who recognise both the social and business value of supporting the Armed Forces community.
“The Covenant is flexible, practical and accessible for organisations of all sizes, and often starts with relatively simple commitments.”

Gary Connolly, Managing Director of Craxel UK Ltd, said:
“We are proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant as a reflection of our deep respect for the men and women who serve, and have served, in the Armed Forces.“By making this commitment, we aim to support veterans, reservists, and their families, ensuring they are treated fairly and given every opportunity to succeed.
“We recognise the unique skills and experiences they bring, and we are committed to creating an environment where they can thrive.”

Defence Relationship Management Northern Ireland continues to work with employers across the region to support engagement with the Armed Forces community and help organisations explore the opportunities available through the Armed Forces Covenant.
