Cleaver Fulton Rankin is proud to announce that Jude Copeland, Legal Review Manager & Associate in the Legal Technology Group, has been appointed Chair of the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Emerging Technologies Sub-Group and a member of the Law Tech Working Group. Jude continues to serve on the Future of the Profession Committee.
This specialist Sub-Group will play a pivotal role in guiding the solicitor profession through the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and data protection, with a particular focus on how solicitors engage with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Under Jude’s leadership, the Sub-Group will:
- Examine how AI and other technologies are transforming legal practice;
- Promote best practices in cybersecurity across the profession;
- Monitor technological developments and assess their implications for solicitors;
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the profession’s digital resilience.
