Last week, we had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring not one, but two student award events at Ulster University Belfast — recently named the UK and Ireland University of the Year.

The two events recognised excellence in Quantity Surveying and Architectural Technology, and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the next generation of professionals entering our industry.

Long-standing Support for Quantity Surveying

Pentagon has proudly supported the Quantity Surveying Awards for several years, and we were delighted to be involved once again in what has become the biggest event of its kind in the School.

This year’s awards celebrated the hard work and achievements of over 80 students, with 53 individual prizes presented. We were particularly pleased to sponsor the award for Best BIM Manager, recognising an increasingly critical skillset in construction and project delivery.

We’re also grateful to the Quantity Surveying programme team for their continued partnership and for the opportunity to support not just through sponsorship but also through guest lectures, teaching support, and shared resources.

Supporting Future Architectural Technologists

On the same day, we also attended the Architectural Technology Awards, which showcased the creativity, innovation, and technical skills of students preparing to enter the architectural profession.

As strong advocates for interdisciplinary collaboration across the built environment, we were proud to support this event and express our appreciation for the talents that shape the spaces where we work and live.

Investing in the Next Generation

At Pentagon, we believe that supporting education and early-career development is essential to the long-term strength of our industry. Whether it’s through sponsoring awards, mentoring, or contributing to teaching, we’re committed to playing our part in that growth.

Congratulations once again to all the students involved, and thank you to Ulster University for organising two excellent events that continue to grow in scale and impact each year.
