CASC were delighted to be among the speakers at the Northern Ireland Focus on Offshore Wind Event hosted by Invest NI at the Titanic Hotel on Tuesday 22nd March to showcase the emerging opportunities in the offshore wind sector for NI companies. As a Tier 2 contractor already operating in the sector, Karl Crockard, CASC MD, presented an overview of the CASC story to date within the industry, beginning in 2016 assisting on a project for Van Oord which was being mobilised out of the Port of Belfast, up to now being responsible for the mobilisation of some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms across the globe. To date, we have worked on 19 projects for the industry-leading OEMs such as Siemens Gamesa, Van Oord and Vestas, and travelling to work on sites as far away as Taiwan. The event also provided an opportunity to present our latest engineering video, which showcases our recent £2million investment in capital equipment, enhancing our capabilities so that CASC is the only engineering company in NI that offers tube laser cutting, sheet metal fibre laser and 5 axis waterjet cutting under one roof, profiling any sheet metal from 0.5mm – 250mm or any sectional material up to 254mm diameter, and can provide a full turn key solution thanks to in house design, fabrication, electrical and installation teams.
