Camlin Group Exceeds Carbon Reduction Target with Carbonfit Partnership

5th February 2025 – Lisburn, Northern Ireland – Camlin Group has successfully surpassed its sustainability goals, achieving an impressive 56% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions—well ahead of its original 46% target set for 2030. This milestone was accomplished through a strategic partnership with Carbonfit, supported by energy supply partner Power NI.
The achievement was celebrated during a site visit on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, at the Lisburn Site of Camlin Group, featuring Aron Ewins (Carbonfit), Ian Fraser (Power NI), Lesley Orr (Camlin Group), and Michael Cunningham (COO, Camlin Group).
Through Carbonfit’s expert energy procurement service, Camlin made the transition from brown to 100% renewably backed energy, leading to:
- 153.61 tCO2e removed
- Net Zero Scope 2 emissions (0.00 tCO2e)
- 13% overall reduction across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions reported to date
- Certified renewable energy with REGO certification Ofgem validated
