ImpactReady platform to support major tourism and visitor economy study during 2026 event

The Budget Energy SuperCupNI has announced a new partnership with Northern Ireland-based independent consultancy firm S3 Solutions, with the organisation’s ImpactReady platform set to support the measurement of the tournament’s tourism and economic impact during this summer’s event.

The partnership will help organisers gather valuable real-time insights from local and international visitors, providing a clearer understanding of the benefits the tournament delivers to communities, businesses and the wider visitor economy across Northern Ireland.

Using the cloud-based ImpactReady platform, attendees will be invited to take part in targeted surveys throughout tournament week. The data collected will provide insights into visitor experiences, spending patterns, accommodation usage and travel behaviour.

The initiative builds on a recent economic impact assessment which estimated that the 2025 Budget Energy SuperCupNI generated £5.6m million in direct economic benefit for Northern Ireland.

Now entering its 43rd year, the Budget Energy SuperCupNI continues to attract some of the biggest names in world football and remains one of the country’s largest international sporting events.

This summer, 64 Boys’ and Girls’ teams and over 1,200 players will compete in over 150 fixtures across Causeway Coast and Glens, Antrim and Newtownabbey and Mid and East Antrim between Sunday 26th and Friday 31st July.

Elite academies including Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds United and West Ham United are among those set to compete.

The tournament also welcomes thousands of coaches, officials, family members and supporters to Northern Ireland each year, generating significant economic activity for local businesses, accommodation providers and tourism operators.

The partnership with S3 Solutions will provide the tournament with robust data and reporting capabilities, helping to demonstrate the full value of the event while supporting future planning and stakeholder engagement.

Sam Gamble, Tournament Coordinator at the Budget Energy SuperCupNI, said: “Every summer the Budget Energy SuperCupNI welcomes thousands of players, coaches, officials, families and supporters to Northern Ireland, delivering significant benefits for local businesses, accommodation providers and the wider tourism economy.

“While football remains at the heart of the tournament, we have always recognised the important role it plays in supporting our host councils and showcasing Northern Ireland on an international stage.

“Our partnership with S3 Solutions and the introduction of ImpactReady will help us better understand and measure that impact, providing valuable insights that strengthen our reporting and demonstrate the value the tournament delivers to partners, stakeholders and the wider economy.”

“ImpactReady will provide the tournament team with valuable real-time insights into visitor experiences, spending and travel behaviour, helping create a robust evidence base that demonstrates the true value and reach of the tournament.
