Following an exceptional first year in 2025, the hugely popular Artisan Food and Craft Markets are set to return for 2026, bigger and better than before, starting in Lurgan on Saturday 4 April.

Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, this year’s touring markets will visit each of the borough’s urban centres twice, offering even more opportunities to experience the very best of local produce, creativity, and craftsmanship.

The 2026 series will also link with major council events including Buskfest and the 7 Hills Blues Festival, bringing added vibrancy and footfall to town centres throughout the year.

Lord Mayor, Alderman Stephen Moutray, said:

“The Artisan Markets will once again showcase an exciting mix of truly local handcrafted goods, gourmet food, artisan treats, and unique local creations – giving residents and visitors a chance to support small businesses and discover the outstanding talent within the borough.

“These markets were launched last year and have been a resounding success. Many of the traders praised the warm welcome they received from the public, and that strong community support has helped fuel the market’s expansion for 2026. I encourage everyone to come out and continue to support them.”

Owner of Nice Buns and Food Heartland Champion for Markets, Kat O’Reilly added:

“I’m delighted to see the artisan markets returning. Accessible trading opportunities like these are incredibly important for small businesses like mine — they help us grow, connect with customers, and build visibility in our own communities. The response I received at last year’s markets was fantastic; in fact, I even sold out of my bakes because it was so busy!”

The first Artisan Food & Craft Market of the year will take place in Lurgan town centre on Saturday 4 April, from 10am to 3pm, before going on tour to Dromore later that month.

With an expanded line-up of traders, special event tie-ins, and a bustling programme planned throughout the year, the 2026 markets promise something for food lovers, craft enthusiasts, families, and curious shoppers alike.
