Last week, around 200 local businesses, organisations and entrepreneurs connected, shared new ideas and showcased innovation during the borough’s seventh annual Enterprise Week.

Organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in partnership with the region’s five enterprise agencies, the week-long programme included 12 free in-person events, webinars, and drop-in clinics featuring a wide range of inspirational speakers, industry experts, and local role models.

The wide-ranging programme – which was aimed at supporting local business resilience and growth – covered topics on everything from brand management to digital tourism, female entrepreneurship to growth innovation, mentorship to negotiating and rural broadband to process efficiencies plus lots more.

“We were delighted to be able to work alongside the borough’s enterprise agencies once more to deliver Enterprise Week and help local businesses gain new skills, build new connections, and support their economic growth,” commented Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Paul Greenfield.

He continued: “By bringing together so many like-minded individuals, both virtually and in-person, the inspirational series helped local businesses and entrepreneurs explore current challenges and opportunities enabling them drive and deliver change for the benefit of everyone.

“Having attended some of the events during the week myself, it was great to meet so many of the borough’s business figures and hear such positive feedback on the important contribution and impact support like this make to our area.

“I would like to thank all businesses and entrepreneurs that attended this year’s Enterprise Week and for making it such a success!”

Ciaran Cunningham, Banbridge Enterprise Agency commented:

Banbridge District Enterprises are delighted to have helped coordinate Enterprise Week 2022 with enterprise partners throughout the borough. We look forward to 2023 and we hope that we can build on this year’s successes and offer a bigger and better series of events in November 2023.”
