The Belfast Grand Central Station project has been officially recognised for sustainability performance.
Following rigorous assessment, the project attained an ‘Excellent’ CEEQUAL Sustainability Performance Rating in recognition of environmental and social impact management.
Translink’s Louise Sterritt said: “As the largest transport-led regeneration project in Ireland, sustainability sits at the heart of all design and development requirements.
“Achieving an ‘Excellent’ CEEQUAL rating officially recognises strong performance across key project areas including carbon reduction, biodiversity and engagement with local communities. It also recognises good overall project management, including responsible construction practices, efficient use of resources, and a focus on long-term user benefits.
“This latest success reflects Translink’s strong ‘Climate Action’ focus as part of our business-wide Better Connected strategy and we would like to thank everyone involved in delivering this top performance rating as we remain committed to the highest standards in environmental, social and governance performance for infrastructure.”
