The Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) are recruiting for the role of an Independent Board Member to support the strategic direction, governance, and development of the organisation.
Role Overview
Board members are expected to bring independent judgement, professional expertise, and a genuine passion for football in Northern Ireland.
This is a non-executive and voluntary role, requiring active participation in board meetings and occasional involvement in sub-committees or strategic projects. The Board meets six times annually.
Role Purpose
To provide impartial guidance, professional insight, and strategic oversight to support the long-term success of the League both on and off the pitch.
Independent Board Members help ensure strong governance, sound decision-making, and innovative thinking, ultimately helping to futureproof the League for the benefit of clubs, players, supporters, and the wider football community.
