Outside of its partnership with BiTCNI, Fujitsu also leads a range of social value initiatives across its Belfast and Derry-Londonderry offices, including volunteering, school engagement and wider digital inclusion activities across Northern Ireland and support programmes like the Centre for Democracy and Peace Fellowship.

The awards bring together leading businesses in Northern Ireland championing responsible business initiatives and takes place on the 17 September at ICC Belfast.

Speaking of the company’s award category sponsorship, Claire McBride, Social Value Manager at Fujitsu in Northern Ireland said,

“At Fujitsu, we believe responsible business is about more than good intentions – it’s about people who lead by example, create meaningful change, and inspire others to do the same. That’s why we’re so proud to sponsor the Responsible Business Ambassador category this year.

This award recognises individuals who are helping to shape a more inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible business community across Northern Ireland, and it’s a privilege to celebrate their leadership and impact. We wish all of this year’s finalists the very best as they go forward to the next stage of judging, and we look forward to hearing more about the incredible work they are leading.”

The 2025 reigning award winner Fiacre O’Donnell, Sustainability Director at Encirc spoke to Claire ahead of the awards shortlist announcement, noting his pride at being awarded the prestigious title at last year’s awards.

“Winning this award was a real honour and helped shine a light on the work we’re doing at Encirc through initiatives such as Glass Made Good, Women in Manufacturing, and our wider sustainability and community programmes. I’ve no doubt this year’s winner will see the same value in that recognition and the opportunity it brings to amplify their impact.”
