Belfast-based print and signage specialists, Alexander Boyd Displays, have been awarded a Highly Commended accolade at the 2025 Business Eye Sustainability & ESG Awards, celebrating their commitment to responsible business practices in Northern Ireland.
The company was recognised in the Sustainable Project of the Year category for its ongoing efforts to transform traditional print manufacturing through investment in low-impact processes and materials. The award acknowledges Alexander Boyd’s innovative project work with Belfast Photo Festival, which has included the use of PVC-free materials, water-based inks, and a rewrapping solution that enables long-term reuse of exhibition panels -significantly reducing waste across recurring outdoor exhibitions.
The firm was also shortlisted in two additional categories: Sustainable Company of the Year and Sustainable Manufacturing Business of the Year, reflecting its broader company-wide sustainability journey.
This recognition follows a series of key initiatives by the business, including a shift to 100% green energy in production, investment in cutting-edge water-based ink printing technology, and the development of recycled material product lines for outdoor advertising and event signage.
