The Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF) has launched its annual Housekeeping Awards, recognising and rewarding the outstanding contribution of housekeeping teams and professionals across Northern Ireland’s hotel and hospitality sector.

Now in its 15th year, the Housekeeping Awards remain a cornerstone of the NIHF calendar, shining a spotlight on the dedication, skill and professionalism of those who play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Entries are now open, with NIHF member properties invited to submit nominations online by Monday 19 January 2026. The awards are free to enter.

Vicky Green, President of the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation, said:

“Housekeeping teams are at the heart of the hotel experience, yet their work often happens behind the scenes. These awards provide an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the people whose standards, pride and attention to detail help define the industry. As the Housekeeping Awards marks its 15th year, NIHF is proud to continue championing excellence within this essential profession.”

The competition will once again reward excellence across team and individual categories, with shortlisted entrants progressing through the judging process ahead of the final awards celebration.

The assessment day will take place on Tuesday 3 February 2026 at room2 Belfast Hometel, where participants will showcase their skills. Winners will be announced at the Housekeeping Awards Dinner on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at the Hilton Belfast. The event will bring together industry colleagues from across Northern Ireland for an evening of celebration, recognition and networking.

This year’s competition is supported by Tourism Northern Ireland. Category sponsors include Bunzl Rafferty Guest Amenities and Linencare, each committed to recognising and advancing excellence in housekeeping.
