Winning in Business
On behalf of your local Business Development Manager, I am delighted to invite you to join us for our upcoming Ulster Bank Boost breakfast event Winning in Business – Lessons on motivation and leadership from the pitch to the board room. We have a stellar line up of local sports stars with business experience, talking to us about what they have learnt and how to transfer skills and experience from the sports field to the business world:
Andy Ward, former Ulster and Ireland rugby star received over 20 caps for Ireland and was part of the 1999 Ulster squad who became the unlikely European champions, despite still being an amateur squad. Andy opened Andy Ward Fitness after retiring from his successful sporting career and will talk to us about Motivation; how to keep focused when times are tough and overcome adversity.
Paddy Tally, Down GAA Manager is a senior lecturer at St Marys College, Belfast and also has significant business experience both with his own business and having grown up involved in the family business. Paddy is passionate about Leadership and will share some of his insights with us such as how to have the confidence and ability required to lead, rather than manage and the importance of having the right leader, developing staff and when to delegate.
The final session in our line-up will be on the importance of having the right mind-set to achieve business growth. Taking the learnings from our guest speakers into a practical session, delivered by Gabi Burnside, Entrepreneur Acceleration Manager at Ulster Bank.
The Q&A panel will be hosted by Nicola McCarthy, sports broadcaster for BBC and Man City and owner of Rondo., a consultancy business advising professional athletes on social media strategy and branding / partnership advice.
