TMT Predictions Breakfast 2017
22 Mar 2017
March 22, 2017
Now in its 17th year, TMT Predictions are based on hundreds of conversations with industry executives and thousands of online interviews with members of the public around the world.
We are delighted to invite TMT Professionals to our TMT Predictions Breakfast with Paul Lee, Partner in TMT Research and author of the report, on Wednesday 22 March in Deanes, Meatlocker Restaurant, Belfast.
At this briefing we will look at the TMT Predictions and discuss the emerging issues that will impact the TMT sectors in the coming year.
This year’s predictions include:
- The state of 5G – in 2017, the first 5G services are likely to be launched. What will this initial launch look like, and when is adoption likely to undergo a surge?
- Biometrics goes big – biometric inputs are likely to be used increasingly for authentication. Find out more about the state of the fingerprint reader, how voice recognition works, and the accuracy of gait tracking.
- Indoor digital navigation – we predict that by 2022, at least a quarter of all uses of digital navigation (maps and location) will include, or be based entirely on, indoor navigation.
- Vinyl’s comeback – is the resurgence significant?
At the breakfast briefing Paul will introduce the 2017 Predictions and provide his insightful perspective.
