Helping small firms and social enterprises understand their role in the Climate Change Act
Small firms and social enterprises: you can make a difference to the environment!
As the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) reported in January, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a vital role to play in helping the country to meet our carbon reduction commitments under the Climate Change Act. There are also sound business reasons for greening your business, ranging from lower energy bills to new market opportunities.
Professor Richard Blundel from The Open University will share findings from his recent work with SME owners and managers on the challenge of sustainable growth. During the workshop, you can discuss what it might mean for you and for your longer term business plans. So if you work in or with SMEs, come along and pick the brains of our very own expert in entrepreneurship, innovation and environmental sustainability.
