RenewableNI’s Smart Energy Conference will return on Thursday 19 October.
RenewableNI is pleased to announce the date of this year’s Smart Energy Conference. This year the theme is ‘Powering the Revolution’ as we look at how Northern Ireland’s renewable electricity industry will lead the way towards achieving net zero.
The premier renewable energy event in Northern Ireland, Smart Energy features a vibrant mix of keynote addresses, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Topics for the panel discussions this year include the Climate and Biodiversity crises and building the offshore wind industry.
Speakers for Smart Energy: Powering the Revolution
We have already begun to invite industry experts to speak at the Smart Energy Conference. Confirmed speakers include:

- Naomi Long MLA, Leader of Alliance Party NI
- Tracey Teague, Deputy Secretary, Environment, Marine & Fisheries, DAERA;
- Niamh Kenny, Project Director, North Channel Wind and Chair of RenewableNI’s Offshore Wind group;
- Rachel Sankannawar, Head of Green Economy Development, Invest NI;
- Éabhín Byrne, Senior Analyst (specialising in biodiversity), Wind Energy Ireland.
