Legal Island’s Practical Skills for Confronting & Preventing Conflict at Work gives HR professionals, managers and team leaders practical tools to address issues early and build stronger working relationships.

Led by mediator, coach and mentor Scott Alexander, this interactive online course takes place over two half-day sessions. Through exercises, demonstrations and case studies, you’ll learn how to:

• Address poor performance and challenging behaviour with greater confidence.
• Build trust and ease tension through active listening, better questions and reframing.
• Have more effective conversations early, helping reduce reliance on formal processes.
• Use AI safely to prepare and structure difficult conversations.

You’ll also receive an editable workbook of models, scripts and resources to use in everyday conversations, team meetings and formal reviews.
