Event Description
When things get done, especially through extra effort or long hours, it is easy for that level of output to become the assumed norm. Over time what started as a push becomes an expectation, and what once felt manageable becomes unsustainable. We want to help break this cycle.
At a glance
Many of the women we work with are brilliant at their jobs and that’s exactly the problem.
When you’re capable, reliable, and care deeply about doing things well, you become the person everyone turns to. Over time, the expectation that you’ll simply absorb more becomes invisible, normalised, and exhausting.
This half-day workshop goes beyond time management tips. Drawing on psychology, research on perfectionism, and self-compassion practice, it helps delegates understand why expectations build the way they do and gives them the mindset shift and practical tools to change that.
Following the workshop you will have the skills you need to confidently manage expectations and be clear about priorities, capacity and constraints, while delivering results to create realistic agreements, avoid burnout, and build trust.
Who it’s for
Professional women managing multiple responsibilities who want to stop absorbing everything and start setting terms that actually work for them and the people around them. Particularly relevant for those who identify with overcommitment, perfectionism, or difficulty pushing back.
