InterTradeIreland have announced that they will be running two free webinars over the next few weeks to help businesses navigate trade between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain.  These webinars will provide you with guidance to support future trade under the UK/EU Free Trade Agreement and the Windsor Framework and share the most up to date information and recommendations.

 

If you register for any of these webinars and you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for Voucher support up to a value of £2,000 (plus VAT) from IntertradeIreland and choose ASM to assist you with your trade issues.  An application form will be sent by InterTradeIreland directly to your inbox when you register for the webinar and should be processed within five working days.

To be eligible you must be based on the island of Ireland, have less than 250 employees and have a twelve month trading history.

Trade Series: Navigating the Windsor Framework

The first webinar will be on Thursday 30 May 2024 from 10.30am to 11.30am and will focus on the upcoming custom changes for NI businesses.

Intertrade Ireland will be joined by experts from HMRC who will discuss:

  • The background to the Windsor Framework,
  • The upcoming changes,
  • The UK Internal Market Scheme,
  • Moving goods which are “At Risk” and;
  • Requirements for parcels.

Trade Series: A guide to understanding VAT

The second webinar will be on Tuesday 4 June 2024 from 11.00am to 12.30pm and is aimed to help businesses based in either Ireland or Northern Ireland understand their VAT obligations.  This webinar will focus on:

  • What is VAT
  • VAT on goods
  • VAT on services
  • Cross-border VAT requirements
  • Import/Export VAT implications
  • Completing VAT Returns
  • VAT Margin Schemes
