We invite you to the German-Irish Business Forum on Renewable Energy on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 in Dublin. 

This half-day forum will explore how Ireland and Germany can work together to address shared challenges in the energy transition. The programme features 2 panel discussions with insights from government, business, and academia.

Panel 1 – Powering Through Challenges: Tackling Supply Chains, Skills & Regulation 
Examining operational and regulatory hurdles impacting renewables deployment, including:

·                The shortage of skilled professionals

·                Permitting processes and their impact on timelines

·                Capacity and readiness of grid infrastructure

·                Approaches to community engagement and social licence

Panel 2 – Bankrolling the Energy Transition: Overcoming Barriers to Renewable Investments
Highlighting the financial, regulatory, and structural factors that shape renewables investment in both countries:

·                The investment climate and policy landscape

·                Strategies for risk mitigation and project bankability

·                The role of green financing tools

·                Involvement of banks, funds, and public agencies

·                Challenges in infrastructure and regulation
