Disability Awareness for the Workplace (Webinar)

THURSDAY 31 JULY 2025 from 12pm-1pm

This interactive online session will look at:

• Understanding Disabilities:

Information about various disabilities, including visible and invisible conditions, and how they may impact daily life and work.

• Challenging Assumptions and Biases:

Recognize and address assumptions and biases related to disability, promoting a more inclusive mindset.

• Promoting Accessibility and Inclusion:

Practical strategies for making environments, services and communication more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities.

• Disability Etiquette:

Employers will learn appropriate terminology and etiquette for interacting with people with disabilities, fostering respectful communication.

• Reasonable Adjustments:

The training will address the concept of reasonable adjustments, which are modifications or accommodations made to enable individuals with disabilities to participate fully in work.
