APM Project Management Professional – all your wanted to know
16 Feb 2017
February 16, 2017
Are you an experienced project, programme or portfolio (P3) manager? Have you led others in the delivery of a complex project? Want to stand shoulder to shoulder with peers in other professions?
If so, then you are interested in the RPM Registered Project Professional (RPP) standard and need to attend this unique and exciting opportunity to listen and talk to an RPP champion and assessor together with an insight to the refreshed RPP standard that will be launched in February 2017.
RPP is a pan-sector standard for those able to demonstrate the capabilities of a responsible leader, who have the ability to manage a complex project and use appropriate tools, processes and techniques. RPP recognises those who can or have achieved success in a complex project, programme and portfolio environment through the management of others. It assesses all elements of the APM FIVE Dimensions of Professionalism in a single standard, thereby enhancing professional status and recognition. It raises the bar of project professionalism to a whole new level.
Tricia Moon is a prominent member of the APM Business Development Team and she will give potential and interested project professionals a brief insight into the refresh of the RPP designation. She will be ably supported by John Arbuckle who is an RPP Assessor and has been trained on the new requirements being introduced this year. The new format which is in line with the revised APM Competency Framework 2nd edition.
This event is more of an informal guide to career progression with RPP and will give you the opportunity of asking those burning questions on what is expected in achieving this coveted standard. There will be an opportunity to obtain first hand experience from John who has been involved with RPP for many years and hopefully, if you choose to follow this path, an insight on what you need to do as a potential candidate.
This event is designed specifically to support those who are considering applying to be a RPP or for experienced P3 managers who would like to know more about the standard and the new advantages that it offers.
