NI Chamber is organising a special online meeting of its Trade Monitoring Group on Friday 13 March. This in direct response to the rapidly evolving challenges impacting international trade and supply chains, particularly those in the Middle East.
Recognising the urgency of the situation, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight that British Chambers of Commerce, in collaboration with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, have introduced a Diplomatic Advisory Hub.
This innovative service is designed to empower members who are trading internationally or considering expansion into new markets by providing clear, actionable guidance on navigating political, regulatory, and geographic risks and opportunities.
During this concise 45-minute briefing, members will gain valuable geopolitical insight and learn about the latest support available through the Diplomatic Advisory Hub. NI Chamber will deliver a brief update on developments related to the Windsor Framework following its recent engagements in both London and Brussels.
This session aims to equip participants with credible information and practical tools, ensuring they are well-prepared to make informed decisions amid ongoing uncertainty.
What to expect
Dealing with market access challenges in the Middle East
Up-to-date insight from the Department for Business and Trade on dealing with market access challenges in the Middle East.
Outline of Practical International Trade Support Services available through the Diplomatic Advisory Hub
Members will hear directly from Richard Oppenheim, former UK Ambassador and Director of the Diplomatic Advisory Hub.
Richard will outline supports available under the new Diplomatic Advisory Hub, a joint initiative between British Chambers of Commerce and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Windsor Framework Update
NI Chamber will provide a short update following:
- Its recent evidence session with the House of Lords Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee, and
- It’s role in the NI Business Stakeholder Group delegation to Brussels last week
This session is designed to ensure members have clear, credible insight at a time of heightened uncertainty, and to support informed business decision‑making.
