EY Entrepreneur of the Year addresses NI Chamber Cross Border Networking event

The EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2018, Peter Coppinger, addressed a major cross border networking event in Belfast this morning (2 May 2019).
Hosted by Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) and Bank of Ireland UK, over 150 businesses from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland attended the event at Belfast’s Hilton Hotel.
In addition to being the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Peter Coppinger is CEO and Founder of Cork-based IT company, Teamwork.
Teamwork is a Software as a Service company founded by Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey 12 years ago. The expanding company, who have a list of high-profile clients, such as Disney, Spotify and PayPal, employ 240 people around the world and have recently begun development of new offices in Belfast creating 85 jobs in the area.
This event was part of NI Chamber’s Connecting for Growth initiative, in partnership with Bank of Ireland UK, and is designed to enable organisations to take advantage of Northern Ireland’s nearest export market, the Republic of Ireland. From 2018, 87% of delegates made new contacts from the Connecting for Growth programme and 84% gained key learnings from the Keynote speaker. This event focused on practices that boost business performance enabling companies to identify and seize opportunities and included a cross-border panel discussion with Bank of Ireland, A&L Goodbody, Grant Thornton and Strathroy Dairy.
