Over 270 meetings facilitated at largest ‘Meet the Buyer’ event to date

The latest Meet the Buyer event hosted by Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) and Bank of Ireland UK took place at Crowne Plaza Belfast yesterday (Wednesday 7 November 2018). Attracting over 180 companies keen to do business with 20 Buyer companies – amongst the buyers were Andras House, Aramark, Caterpillar, Coca Cola HBC, The Kerry Group, MJM Group, NI Water, NIE Networks and Translink.
The event, which forms part of the NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland UK cross-border ‘Connecting for Growth’ programme, allowed businesses to make a pitch to these buyers whilst networking and developing links with each other through a number of activities including speed networking.
Also featured at the event, a keynote speech from Dáithí O’Connor, Managing Director of Revive Active and a ‘Raising your profile to win business’ panel session hosted by Sinead Doyle, Head of Consumer PR at MCE Public Relations, and featuring representatives from Lambert Smith Hampton, The Beannchor Group and Cancer Fund for Children.
The Connecting for Growth programme is designed to facilitate increased business between companies from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, enabling access to larger firms with procurement needs at meet the buyer events and improving sales opportunities through networking and advice.
