Business leaders call for more exporters at latest Connecting For Growth event

Over 300 members of the business community had the opportunity to hear from industry experts and to take part in networking sessions at the latest NI Chamber/Bank of Ireland UK Connecting for Growth event.
Ann McGregor, Chief Executive of NI Chamber explained:
“The Connecting for growth programme in partnership with bank of Ireland UK enables businesses to learn how to export for the first time which is valuable as Northern Ireland needs more exporters.”
Sean Sheehan, Regional Director NI Consumer & Small Business with Bank of Ireland UK, said:
“We are committed to being NI’s enterprise bank so the Connecting for Growth programme and our partnership with NI Chamber of Commerce is a critical part of that.
“If we look into the NI economy and the importance of businesses we have to look at supporting businesses to export, we must look into the leveraging opportunities that are available to them and we have to look at building and developing more business.”
The keynote speaker at the event was Andrew Nethercott, Director of Sales with Moy Park which – with over 7,000 employees – is NI’s biggest employer.
