Key players in the export arena shared their exporting experiences and offered advice in perfecting an export sales pitch to over 50 local businesses at a Danske Bank Export First event hosted by Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce at Belfast’s Europa Hotel this morning (16 April).
Representatives from Almac Diagnostics and Andor Technology joined Danske Bank, Etihad Airways to take part in what was the third event in the second phase of the Danske Bank Export First programme, providing attendees with an insight into how to win export sales.
Sandra Scannell, Programmes & Operations Director at Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce said:
“Successful selling in export markets is all about building relationships with your clients and potential clients. Exporting companies should recognise the layers of engagement and seek out the people in the organisation that have traction for your product or service. This is usually those who will benefit most from using it.”
Brian Telford, Head of Markets at Danske Bank said:
“If you invest time in finding out what your customers need, about the marketplace in which they operate and the level of competition that exists, you will see a return on your investment. It is a process of discovery which is vital for success.”
