GROW NI, 21 May 2012: The Campaign to reduce corporation tax

Date:
21 May 2012
Time:
8.30am to 10.00am
Venue
The Long Gallery, Stormont
Cost
Complimentary
In the run up to the consultation on Rebalancing the NI Economy, GROW NI was instrumental in ensuring that over 500 positive responses were submitted from a wide range of NI businesses, academic institutions and community organisations.
The key outcome of the consultation was the commitment from the Government to establish a Joint Ministerial working group to examine the issue in detail. That Group has met twice and a further final meeting is planned for early summer subsequent to which a decision will be taken on whether to devolve the power to vary the corporation tax rate to Northern Ireland.
In order to maintain momentum behind the campaign, and to keep the issue high on the agenda of our local politicians, GROW NI is hosting an event at Stormont on the morning of Monday, 21st May, beginning at 0830 and running to 10am at the latest. At the event a small number of business people, from varying sectors and different parts of Northern Ireland will set out why a reduction in Corporation Tax would be helpful to their businesses.
We would appreciate your support at this event.
If you are available to attend please RSVP to Christopher Morrow at Christopher.Morrow@northernirelandchamber.com by 5pm on Thursday 17 May 2012.
Yours sincerely
