QES 2012 Quarter 3 Results
Quarterly Economic Survey: Business growth has slowed
The Q3 2012 Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) revealed that economic growth across Northern Ireland remains weak, with the Q3 results worsening on the previous quarter.
The results for this quarter were generally disappointing for Northern Ireland. Most of the key indicators are down, especially domestic demand for both manufacturing and service firms. Export activity appears to be somewhat more positive for the future; however, the noticeable increase in manufacturing firms that are finding their raw material costs to have increased is of concern.
