3rd Annual International Conference on ‘Women and Leadership in a Changing World’
Queen’s University is proud to be working in partnership with the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, Allstate Northern Ireland (NI) and NI Women in Business on an annual series of international conferences on the theme of Women and Leadership in a Changing World. The first event was held in Queen’s University in September 2016 and the second in Lowell in November 2017.
We are delighted to announce our third meeting in Queen’s University Belfast on 21-22 May 2018.
The conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities of woman in leadership in todays changing world.
This year we will focus on the themes of Equal Pay, Equal Opportunity; #MeToo – Opening the Conversation; The Future of Work; and Women in Society.
Queen’s University Belfast is recognised nationally and internationally for its work in promoting the careers of women in academia.
It was one of the founding members of the Athena SWAN movement in 2005 and the first university to receive a SWAN Silver Institutional Award, since renewed three times.
At present, Schools in QUB hold two Gold, eight Silver and five Bronze departmental awards – one of the largest number of awards held by any UK university.
The conference will start on Monday 21 May with a dinner in Belfast City Hall and continue on Tuesday 22 May in Riddel Hall, Queen’s University Belfast.
