What GDPR means for you and your business
05 Oct 2017
October 5, 2017
The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018 and UK organisations that process the personal data of EU residents have only a short time to ensure that they are compliant. Introduced to keep pace with the modern digital landscape, the GDPR is more extensive in scope and application than the current Data Protection Act (DPA). The Regulations extend the data rights of individuals, and requires organisations to develop clear policies and procedures to protect personal data, and adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures.
In order to comply with GDPR, Marketers will need to maintain cleaner and more accurate databases, provide more transparency with relation to data handling ensuring additional security measures are in place to prevent data breaches.
Join our FREE webinar at 3pm (GMT) on Thursday 5 October 2017 to learn more about GDPR and the number of key changes the regulations will have for your business.
