HS2: How will you shape high speed Britain?
17 Oct 2014
October 17, 2014
HS2 will be holding its next supply chain conference on the 17 October in London and on the 23 October in Manchester. During the conference we will update delegates on what businesses have told us during our recent market engagement exercise and how that will inform our procurement strategy. We will also provide information on our skills and employment package and how digital design and modelling can help us manage bigger and more ambitious projects.
Registration for HS2’s Supply Chain Conference for 2014 is now open. Please click the following link to register your interest:
Because so many suppliers would like to find out how they can get involved in working on HS2, we are holding two events so we can talk to as many people as we can. However, as spaces are limited, we are only able to accept registrations from a maximum of two individuals per organisation. If you have any queries, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
The events will be held on 17 October 2014 in London and 23 October 2014 in Manchester. Please register your interest as soon as possible, including your venue preference, and we’ll be in touch with you early in September to confirm your venue and date.
HS2 – engaging with our suppliers
As many of you know, HS2 Ltd has already started talking to our suppliers about how you would like to work with us. This has included 14 engagement events and an industry survey, to which we received over 350 responses.
This month, we completed the initial phase of these activities which has given us valuable input on our Phase One Outline Procurement Strategy (OPS). Undertaking a market engagement exercise at this stage in any programme is unprecedented – this is one of the biggest and earliest of its type undertaken in a mega-project.
The feedback we received is helping us shape the next iteration of the OPS and develop our approach to procurement. Gaining your feedback is also enabling us to identify interested supply chain organisations and develop a robust strategy that ensures the market will be able to respond to our future requirements.
Keep up-to-date with HS2 business opportunities

Thank you for your interest in HS2. This exercise is just the start of a conversation we will have with our supply chain. We are keen that you continue to engage with us and prepare to seize the tens of thousands of opportunities across the UK that will arise as a result of HS2.
