May 9, 2017
Time: 9:30 am-4:30 pm
Do you want to develop your people management skills? Learn how to better 'read' and respond to the emotions of others? If so, then our masterclass on Emotional Intelligence will provide you with the information to guide you in responding and behaving when dealing with people.
The course commences with a 1.5 hour webinar; followed by an assessment of your Emotional Intelligence combined with a 1 hour personal 1:1 coaching session with our experts; and a one day masterclass course.
For information on this course and 'in-house' courses, contact Dominic McCanny Chartered Occupational Psychologist on 028 8224 3100.
We consider that gaining an increased awareness of our own and others behaviour is a starting point to enable change in becoming more flexible and adaptable. By learning to respond differently to the challenges of different people, contexts and situational demands, we can be more successful in work and life and more adept at dealing with stress, leading others, managing conflict and change.
Emotional Intelligence has been around since 1995 when one of the major theorists, Daniel Goleman wrote his book Emotional Intelligence. At that time it spent more than one-and-a-half years on The New York Times bestseller list. Today, over 20 years later and the appetite to understand and improve our emotional intelligence remains.
Emotional Intelligence has been described as an individual’s capacity to recognise their own and other people’s emotions, and their ability to use this emotional information to guide how they think, respond and behave.
Benefits of enhancing Emotional Intelligence and awareness:
- Increase morale and motivation
- Develop top talent
- Recognise other peoples’ emotions
- Improve difficult relationships
- Manage stressful situations and remain cool under pressure
- Address poor performance
In our masterclass we focus on 5 main Factors of Emotional Intelligence combining this with your personal assessment using the Thomas International TEIQue report. This is a registered assessment with the British Psychological Society’s Psychological Testing Centre and is one of the most recognised tools in assisting developing Emotional Intelligence.
