Charity Fundraiser – An Evening with Aaron Hughes & Owen Mulligan

Croke Park meets Windsor Park Charity Fundraising Event – An interview with Aaron Hughes & Owen Mulligan by TV sports journalist Adrian Logan - Friday 8th June Glenavon Hotel Cookstown
Claire Hughes, founder of Soirée Society, NI's award-winning Matchmaking Agency, has always stated that her claim to fame is that she just happens to be the aunt of two sporting heroes from Cookstown, Aaron Hughes and Owen Mulligan.
Twenty years ago, on hearing of the relationship, Adrian Logan, the TV Sports journalist suggested that there was the makings of a good story to compare and contrast the lives and careers of a Professional Premiership & NI Footballer versus a Gaelic Footballer.
Fast forward twenty years and one could say that the two guys have certainly been outstanding in their own fields!
So as the Matchmaker that she is, Claire reckoned that a perfect match would be a night to celebrate diversity (think Croke Park meets Windsor Park!) but where the winners on the night would be charities who support everyone in the community no matter what foot they kick with!
In this regard, both Aaron & Owen are generously giving of their time free of charge so that the net proceeds of the evening can go to support the work of two very deserving Cookstown charities, The Hub and Charis Cancer Care.
It promises to be a great night of celebration, banter and craic. Additional entertainment will be provided by the awesome Irish Magician Rodd Hogg.
Signed Northern Ireland & Tyrone jerseys as well as sought-after match tickets and other good prizes will be up for grabs in the half-time raffle.
The venue which is offering a discounted overnight stay to attendees, is located in close proximity to Drum Manor Forest Park, Killymoon Golf Club and Cookstown town centre which has a wide array of shops, eateries and the famous Saturday Street Market. This ensures there will be plenty to do 'the morning after the night before'.
