The Future of Skills
Sponsor: Northern Ireland Electricity Networks
As the Department for the Economy (DfE) works on a new skills strategy, NI Chamber has launched the Future of Skills campaign to ensure the voice of our members is heard. We will be running a series of regional sessions, engaging businesses across the country to discuss and inform the strategy, covering:
- What are the main skills-related challenges facing businesses?
- What are businesses already doing in order to tackle the skills shortage?
- What more can be done?
The first event in the series will host Seagate Technology, a global leader in data storage solutions, who will share how the company has dealt with the skills gap in Northern Ireland, to position themselves as a market leader in their industry.
John Healy, MD, Allstate NI will facilitate the session as well as share his insight and experience as head of Northern Ireland’s largest IT Company.
Graeme Wilkinson, Director of Skills for the Department for the Economy will also provide an update on the skills strategy and what this means for business. This event provides the opportunity for businesses to share, learn and connect with other businesses experiencing similar challenges, discuss solutions and make an impact on the Skills Strategy for NI.
COST: Members FREE Non Members £50 + VAT
(places at this event are limited and priority will therefore be given to NI Chamber members)
