Export First with Danske Bank – Exporter Forum with Yelo

Recently honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its outstanding export performance, Yelo will host the first Export First Exporter Forum of 2020 at their premises in Trooperslane Industrial Estate, Carrickfergus.
NI Chamber is delighted to invite delegates to hear from Richard Furey, Chief Executive, who will share Yelo’s inspirational export story, followed by a discussion and Q&A. The event will conclude with a tour of the newly opened 25,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.
Yelo, founded in 1983, is a leading test equipment manufacturer that designs builds and supports test engineering solutions for a range of industries including Photonics, Defense and Automotive. As well as this Yelo manufactures bespoke test solutions for OEMs, CEMs and EMS.
Yelo boasts one of the largest test houses in the UK, located in Carrickfergus. This is home to a team of 50, including electronic engineers, mechanical design engineers, software developers and test/commissioning/support engineers.
Richard Furey, Chief Executive Officer, Yelo
Richard Furey is an Electronic Engineering graduate of Southampton University and currently CEO of Yelo, a company that he co-founded in 1983. He has over 40 years of experience in test, including the design of general instrumentation and test system architecture. In 2010, he led the management buyout of Yelo from its Canadian parent and is now responsible for corporate strategy as well as product development. He is a chartered engineer and a Fellow of the IET. He is active in the Northern Ireland Science Park where he is an EIR (Entrepreneur in Residence) and helps with the mentoring of start-up companies.
