Countdown to Brexit – Planning beyond 29 March
Venue:Pinsent Masons LLP, The Soloist Building, 1 Lanyon Place, Belfast, BT1 3LP
Sponsor: Pinsent Masons
After complex and lengthy negotiations the UK remains scheduled to leave the EU on the 29 March and Northern Ireland has been at the heart of much of the debate. But where does business go from here?
NI Chamber, in partnership with International law firm Pinsent Masons, invite members to a workshop exploring post-Brexit scenarios on three key business issues that cut across practically all sectors:
- Commercial Contracts & Supply Chain – Building your first line of defence and understanding the exposure of others.
- Data & IP – The real risks of invisible borders and the unravelling threads of IP protection.
- Workforce Planning – Access to labour and skills in a post-Brexit world.
Delegates will also hear from Douglas Alexander, a strategic advisor to Pinsent Masons
A former UK International Development Secretary, Douglas was also Minister for Europe amongst a portfolio of senior positions within Prime Ministers Blair’s and Brown’s Cabinets.
With insight and experience recognised by positions as a Senior Fellow at Harvard University and a visiting Professor at King’s College, London, Mr Alexander will provide a political overview on the ‘Countdown to Brexit’ and the period to follow.
Places at this event may be restricted to one person per company and priority will be given to NI Chamber members.
