New for 2019, the CEO Spotlight Series in partnership with KPMG, aims to inspire business growth in local companies through leadership stories of top class entrepreneurs and senior management; engaging senior business leaders and potential young leaders.
We are delighted to be joined for the launch event by Dr Dennise Broderick, Managing Director of Galen Ltd.
Through organic growth and acquisitions, Galen has product sales in 23 countries and is continuing to look to develop new markets and opportunities to fulfil their vision of creating a truly international pharmaceutical company from their base in Northern Ireland. Dennise is a highly successful, respected and inspiring Executive Business Leader, with an extensive career within the pharmaceutical industry.
This business breakfast will feature a speech by our inspirational business leader followed by roundtable discussions. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage with each other and exchange views and experiences with the key speaker, sponsor, and NI Chamber.
Dr Dennise Broderick was appointed Managing Director & President of the Galen Ltd organisation, a member of the Almac Group, in September 2018. She is responsible for all aspects of the pharmaceutical company’s operations, marketing and governance across its sites throughout Europe, US and the rest of the world.
Dr Broderick has an extensive career within the pharmaceutical industry having held the position of Country Manager, leading the Irish affiliate of IPSEN Pharmaceuticals, in addition to CEO/MD and senior leadership roles with Pfizer, Hospira, Zeneus, Viatris and other pharmaceutical companies in Ireland and Europe.
Dennise, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy, Oncology and Cancer Biology from University College Dublin and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University College Cork, is not only a highly successful and inspiring Executive Business Leader, she is also highly respected academically and remains on the invite list as a guest lecturer within the National Universities of Ireland, having previously lectured part-time within their network.
