The chamber's mission statement
As Northern Ireland’s largest, independent business body our mission is:
- to continue to grow and develop our membership
- to develop our range of membership services and ensure that these remain relevant to the needs of our members
- to represent, vigorously and practically, the interests of our members to all appropriate influencers and to play a key role in improving the business performance of our members in their home and export markets
With access to more than 4,000 member businesses across Northern Ireland representing every sector of the business community, from the sole trader to businesses with thousands of employees, the chamber of commerce movement is the largest private-sector forum in Northern Ireland and we welcome input from our members on all issues, which affect business.
Our functions provide opportunities for business people to meet socially, exchange cards, discuss business, make new contacts at decision-maker level, share problems and meet potential customers and suppliers from a wide range of business sectors.

- The council also determines the chamber's policy in its relationships with government and other bodies and in its representation of the interests of Northern Ireland business to other bodies and to the media.
