The Chamber views with alarm the scope of the anticipated funding gap and the restrictive nature of the
options available. Impairments of the magnitude set out in the paper will have profound effects across
the range of activities funded and managed by the Department. Furthermore, given the linkage with
DETI in the wider economic context, there are grounds to believe that efforts to adequately address the
