University of Ulster

The concept of the “Chamber Patrons” scheme is to offer a very small group of companies and organisations – no more than 10 – the opportunity to associate their company not only with the continuing success of the chamber itself, but also with the high profile companies who have been important to the development of Northern Ireland’s largest indigenous business body...

University of Ulster

The University of Ulster has been a leader in business and management education for over 30 years. The Ulster Business School has achieved 'excellent' ratings from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), and can confidently assert, on an objective basis, that it is the leading quality benchmarked centre for business education and training in Ireland, placing it amongst the very best in the wider British Isles context. Underlying our education and training is a very solid research base; the quality of 85% of our Business and Management research submitted in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise is viewed, at minimum, as “internationally” recognised in terms of “originality”, “significance” and “rigour”.

The Ulster Business School is one of the largest providers of business and management education and training in Britain and Ireland, and has underpinned its academic activities, in both teaching and research, by establishing strong partnerships with key professional bodies, for example, in management (CMI, ICSA); accounting (ACCA, CIMA, ICAI); marketing (CIM); and human resource management (CIPD).

The School has also developed strong partnerships with Northern Ireland’s Small to Medium-Sized Enterprises through a number of channels, not least its Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and its student placement and internship activity. The Ulster Business School offers a range of executive leadership and management development programmes within its extensive portfolio, and has proudly produced well over 80% of Northern Ireland’s business graduates since the mid-1970s.
The Ulster Business School is dedicated to providing world class executive leadership and management development programmes and courses, informed by leading-edge research for business.

Our programmes are designed to equip leaders and managers with the skills and experience they need to give businesses a competitive edge.
Our overall aim is to support companies and organisations in being successful in a rapidly changing commercial environment. We strive to equip individuals with the capability, understanding, and drive to make considerable improvements to business performance. We are confident that our programmes and courses will give businesses an advantage that can further enhance their success and the economy of the region.
