Teamwork is a Software as a Service company founded by Peter Coppinger and Daniel Mackey 12 years ago. The expanding company, who have a list of high-profile clients, such as Disney, Spotify and PayPal, employ 240 people around the world and have recently begun development of new offices in Belfast creating 85 jobs in the area.
This event is part of NI Chamber’s Connecting for Growth initiative, in partnership with Bank of Ireland UK, and is designed to enable organisations to take advantage of Northern Ireland’s nearest export market, the Republic of Ireland. From 2018, 87% of delegates made new contacts from the Connecting for Growth programme and 84% gained key learnings from the Keynote speaker. This event will focus on practices that boost business performance enabling companies to identify and seize opportunities and will include a cross-border panel discussion.
Commenting on the event, Peter Coppinger, CEO and founder of Teamwork, said: “The cross border relationship is more important now than ever before. We set up an office in Belfast 11 months ago and it has been a huge success. There’s a fantastic business eco system with an amazing talent pool to choose from. I’m very much looking forward to speaking at the NI Chamber cross-border networking event and sharing the Teamwork story to date.”
Sandra Scannell, Head of Business Support at NI Chamber, commented: “As our nearest export market and with uncertain times ahead, the relationship between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is crucial. This event is designed to enable organisations to build strong cross border business connections and improve sales opportunities through structured networking. We are delighted to have Peter Coppinger speaking at this event following Teamwork’s recent expansion in Belfast.”
Niall Devlin, Head of Regional Business Banking NI at Bank of Ireland UK, said; “A report in June 2018 highlighted that 30 per cent of Northern Ireland’s exports, £2 billion (€2.3 billion), were with the Republic of Ireland. This shows how critical this market is for Northern Ireland Businesses and the region’s economy. The Connecting for Growth programme is focused on delivering business insight, giving practical take-aways and providing new business connections to help local businesses enter new markets. We are delighted be the partner on this programme enabling local businesses to begin or develop their cross border trade journeys.”
The Connecting for Growth cross-border event takes place on 2 May from 8.30am-12.30pm at the Hilton Hotel, Lanyon Place, Belfast.
