Some of Northern Ireland’s biggest companies ready to buy at ‘meet the buyer’ event
Businesses from across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are being encouraged to come along and ‘meet the buyer’ at Armagh City Hotel on 12 May 2015 at the latest event hosted by Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) in partnership with Bank of Ireland UK.
There are currently fifteen high-profile buyers wishing to meet with local businesses on the day including: Almac; BAM; Bank of Ireland; Belfast International Airport; Bombardier; Concentrix; Glanbia; Harland and Wolff; Irish Football Association; Irwin’s Bakery; MJM Marine; Mooney Hotel Group; Moy Park; Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) and The Beannchor Group.
The event, which forms part of the NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland UK cross-border ‘Connecting for Growth’ programme, will allow businesses to make a pitch to these buyers whilst networking and developing links with each other through a number of activities including speed networking.
Ann McGregor, Chief Executive at NI Chamber said:
“We are delighted to have secured the support of key buyers from across Northern Ireland and the cross border regions to meet with suppliers at the first event. This event is the first of two meet the buyer style events which will match SME businesses directly with procurement teams from large buying organisations.
“Unlike other meet the buyer initiatives, Connecting for Growth is open to any business that has a product or service our buyers are interested in purchasing. There is no restriction on size, sector or support already received through the public sector. The programme is about creating sales opportunities, building networks and facilitating growth.”
