Firms invited to ‘accelerate their growth’ at second NI Chamber Growing Something Brilliant Conference

Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) is inviting local businesses to join them at the second Growing Something Brilliant conference on Wednesday 28 May 2014, from 8.30am – 12.00pm in Titanic Belfast .
The conference is supported by SSE Airtricity; Pinsent Masons and First Trust Bank and forms part of NI Chamber’s Growing Something Brilliant campaign which is aimed at increasing business confidence and inspiring more businesses to grow through innovation, leadership and export.
The conference will also provide a platform for firms to make their opinions known to key decision makers.
Commenting on the conference, NI Chamber Chief Executive Ann McGregor said:
“There is no doubt that the economy is improving and that there have been some fantastic inward investment announcements but Northern Ireland is still lagging behind other regions in terms of private sector growth and export.
“There are a number of economic action plans under development at present and NI Chamber wants to ensure that they include actions that address the challenges still faced by businesses and help them to accelerate their growth.
“This year’s Growing Something Brilliant conference will enable our members to tell us about their concerns so that we, in turn, can communicate this to government.
“We also want to inspire more businesses to set up, grow and export by looking at what has already been achieved by the business community in Northern Ireland, and sharing the good news that is out there.”
Guest speakers include Sean O’Driscoll, Chairman and Chief Executive of Glen Dimplex who will share the Glen Dimplex growth story and Iain Gray, Chief Executive of the Technology Strategy Board who works to stimulate and support innovation across the UK.
